Wendy Darlene Atkins Frazier-Meadows, age 61 of Princeton, WV passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at her home surrounded by those who loved and cared for her. She was born on October 1, 1961, in Welch, WV. She was the daughter of the late Donald Ray Atkins of Princeton, WV and the late Peggy Joyce (Hood) Caldwell of Roanoke, VA.

Wendy was a long-time resident of West Virginia and North Carolina. She was an avid Harley motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed many years of riding and owning her own motorcycle. Outside of her love for riding she spent the majority of her spare time camping on the New River in Narrows, Virginia with her husband Doug. She had a love for being there with friends and family, getting to fish and making s’mores with her grandchildren.

She’s survived in death by her husband, Doug Meadows of the home, her son Jamie Umberger and fiancée Brittany of Bluewell, WV; daughter Ashley Bell of Bluefield, WV; son Michael Frazier of Salisbury NC; stepchildren Natasha Cantley and significant other Kenneth Broyles, Amanda Palmer, Phillip (Scott) Palmer, Douglas (Buck) Meadows and significant other Misti; Grandchildren Alex Houk, Ryan Houk, Izah Hitt, Tristan Bell, Aaron Carter, Grayson Bell, Aspyn Bell and Jameson Umberger; Haley Paden, Lindsey King, Levi Palmer, Austin Palmer, Alizabeth Palmer, Abbigail Palmer, Troy (TJ) Fisher, Phillip (PJ) Palmer, Graycen Palmer, Zaelynn Palmer, Aleah Palmer, Katie Gus Meadows, Christopher Meadows: Great Grandchildren Kayson & Kaisley; sisters Traci Atkins Lamfrom and husband Brian of Pittsburgh PA, Kelli Atkins White and significant other Raymond Hall of Princeton WV, Pat Fink, Terry England & Tammy Chittum of Roanoke VA, Countless nieces and nephews, her Aunt Pam Atkins Donithan of Bluefield VA whom helped raise her. And special friends Virginia & Wayne and Puckett & Prissy. 

She is preceeded in death by her grandmother Beatrice Atkins, both parents, her granddaughter Chloe Rae Umberger, and stepson Woody Palmer. 

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, April 21, 2023, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Frazier-Meadows family.
