Steven "Steve" Mark Brady

Steven “Steve” Mark Brady, 61 of Princeton, West Virginia passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. Steve was born on August 14, 1956 in Bluefield, WV to the late Bill and Norma Joyce Schrader Brady. Steve was a graduate of Montcalm High School in 1974, he continued his studies at Bluefield State College then obtained his Master’s degree from Radford University. Steve worked as a teacher, coach, principal and assistant principal for 32 years in Mercer County, Tazewell County and Giles County. Steve was the Montcalm High School Girls Basketball Coach, winning a state championship in 1980. He also coached Boys basketball at Montcalm High School and Pocahontas High School. He always loved coaching and working with the young men and women on his teams. Steve was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer fan, he always said he “1st bleed blue and white than blue and gold.” Steve was always the life of the party or event he was at. He enjoyed bringing laughter and smiles with his witty personality. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Rodney BradyLeft to cherish his memory is his dear friend and ex-wife Connie Blankenship Brady of Princeton, West Virginia; two stepsons Aaron Keaton and wife Leisel of Franklin, Tennessee, Jason Keaton and wife Phyllis of Cobb, GA; four brothers Bill Brady and Barbara of Roanoke, VA, Frank Brady and wife Deborah of Pounding Mill, VA; Larry Brady and wife Marsha of Galax, VA and Brian Brady of Roanoke, VA. He is also survived by three grandchildren Savannah, Burke and Audrey Keaton. He is survived by several nieces and nephews; Barry and Aaron; Micka, Jacki, Renee, Kelli and Billie Jo; Matthew and Joshua; Rodney, Jr and Andrea; Chris. He is also survived numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with Danny Buckner officiating the service. The Brady family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
