Daniel Darrell Linkous, Sr.

Daniel Darrell Linkous, Sr., age 69, of Bastian, VA, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on February 7, 1954 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Donald and Phyllis Gillenwater Linkous. He had been a resident of Bastian for 23 years and was retired from JOY Manufacturing in Bluefield, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timmy Linkous; and sisters, Rebecca Linkous and Patty Lane.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Kilgore Linkous of the home; son, Danny (Leanne) Linkous of Bluefield, VA; daughter Melissa (Steven) LaRue of Princeton, WV; 6 grandchildren, Kamran Cantrell, Cody LaRue, Christa (Michael) Scarberry, Kali (Jordan) Fitzgerald, Eric Linkous, and Logan Hollyfield; great-grandchildren, Tempy Scarberry, Maverick Scarberry and Bennett Fitzgerald; a brother, Ronnie Linkous of FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family and celebrate his life on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
