Yvonne Wilson

On Friday, September 16, 2022, Clara Yvonne Wilson, 78, of Elliston, VA, went to be with the Lord.

Fondly known as “Yvonne”, she was born on May 23, 1944, in Bishop, VA, she was a daughter of the late Dale Vance and Oma Bowers. She was a 1961 graduate of Pocahontas High School. She met the love of her life, Jerry, and they married in 1961. They had a full and blessed life with family and travel.

She is survived by her husband Jerry; and her daughters, Connie Bland (Terry) and Karen Wallace (Mike). She had 6 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Pastor Samuel Vance (Delma). She had survived 8 siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Sam Vance and Pastor Paul Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Jeremy Hess, Steven Thompson, Terry Bland, Mike Wallace, Allan Murphy, Gary Wilson, Jr., and Ryan Haase serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services on Wednesday, from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
