Arthur Jeen England

Arthur Jeen England, 83, of Radford, VA, formerly of Mercer County, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 26, 2023.

He was born on November 22, 1939 to the late Herman Curtis England and Edith Perkins England. After graduating from high school at Baileysville in 1962, he attended the Institute of Barbers where he trained for over a year. He cut hair for over 45 years throughout Bramwell and Bluewell where he was very loved by all his friends, neighbors, and customers. Arthur was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. Arthur also enjoyed hunting and digging ginseng with his brothers and his nephews. He raised a garden every summer to provide for his family and to share with his neighbors. He was a member of the Lorton-Lick Wesleyan Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara England; his siblings, Bobby, Oley, Helen, and Phyllis.

Those left to cherish his memory are two loving children, Charles England and Jennifer Blackwell (Rick); three loving grandchildren, Jacob England, David Blackwell, and Brandon Blackwell; one loving sibling, Grover England; and several special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell from 1:00-2:00 with funeral services at 2:00 PM at with Pastor Barry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
