Charles David Combs

BLUEFIELD, WV--- Charles David Combs, age 73, of RT 3 Box 577 Bluefield, WV passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at Mercer Nursing and Rahab Center. Born June 3, 1937 in West Virginia he was the son of the late Edward and Juanita Ball Combs. Mr. Combs was a lifelong resident of the Bluefield area where he was self-employed. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Church of God. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Two brothers, Billy and Carl Combs; Four sisters, Flora M. Redman, Rebecca Saddler, Mary Boher, and Mattie Burchett Survivors include, One son, Everette Combs of KY Special friend with whom he made his home, Margaret Cochran of Bluefield, WV One Daughter, Joan Mullins of Bluefield, WV Three brothers, Ernie, Elbert, and Paul Combs all of Bluefield, WV Five sisters, Kay Berry and husband Bob of Colorado Joy Hubbard of Bluefield Lena Akey of Colorado Carol Wagner of Bluefield Nora Trivett and Husband Smith of Bluefield In accordance with Mr. Combs’ wishes no services will be held and his body will be cremated. Burial will be held at a later date at the Combs Family Cemetery in Sandlick, WV.
