William MacAdoo Taylor

William MacAdoo Taylor, age 95, of Littlesburg Road, Bluefield, WV died on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on January 21, 1924 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Giles and Lula Taylor. He had lived in Bluefield his entire life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bluewell. He was a retired coal miner with 30 years of service. He also worked for Point Express and was a member of the Teamsters Union. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Honaker Taylor, 7 brothers, 2 sisters, and 3 children.

Daughters: Angel Elswick and husband Brian of Bluefield, WV

                    Rebecca Darlene Jackson and husband Jeff of Bluefield, WV

Special Friend: Marge Wright of Bluefield, WV

Sisters: Edith Cochran of Cheyenne, WY

              Nora McKinney of Vine Grove, KY

5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Perry Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor Family Cemetery on Littlesburg Road in Bluefield. His family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
