William Allen Keller, Sr.

William Allen Keller, Sr., 74, of Pocahontas Ave. Bramwell, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, May 02, 2018 at his residence.

 

William was born on June 09, 1943 in Princeton, West Virginia to the late William James Coleman Keller and Gladys Skeens Keller. William had been a residence of Bramwell for the last thirty-three years. He was a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. William retired from the United States Army after proudly serving his country for twenty three years; he served during the Vietnam War. After his retirement from the U.S. Army he worked as a Police Officer in both Keystone and Bramwell, West Virginia. William was an avid WVU football fan. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Vietnam Veterans Association and he was a member of the Bramwell Masonic Lodge.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edna Virginia Cook Keller; six brothers Ernest, Ernie, Joseph, Franklin, Douglas and Rufus Keller as well as two sisters; Jackie Kish and Carol Jean Watkins.

He is survived by his four sons; William A. Keller, Jr., and wife Susan of Bluefield, West Virginia; James W. Keller and wife Cindy of Bluefield, West Virginia; Ronald C. Keller and wife Amanda of Pembroke, Virginia and Terry D. Keller and wife Dreama of Bluefield, West Virginia. Five Brothers Alfred Keller and wife Goldie of Bluewell, West Virginia; Danny Keller of Bastian, Virginia and John Keller and wife Sherry of Abbs Valley, Virginia; Lacy Keller of Montcalm, West Virginia and Aubury Keller of Bluewell, West Virginia. Four Sisters Dianna Baker and husband Eric of Montcalm, West Virginia; Sue Grossi of Bluefield, West Virginia; Verta Newman of Keystone, West Virginia and Cora Mae Kimball of Florida.  He also leaves behind four grandchildren Jason and wife Tiffany, Kalen, Sara and Joshua.

 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 05, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Bluewell United Methodist Church with Rev. Melissa White officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard will be conducting military graveside rites. Serving as pallbearers will be William’s friends and family.  

 

The Keller family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, May 05, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until 1:00 p.m. at the Bluewell United Methodist Church.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bluewell United Methodist Church.
