William Thomas Howell

William Thomas Howell, 64, of Rock Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 27, 1954 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Otis Jackson and Daisy Geraldine Dillon Howell. He had been a resident of Montcalm since 1989 and was a retired coal miner with Red Hawk Coal Company. He was a member of the UMWA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Eugene Howell; and a daughter, Misty Lusk.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Drema Lusk Howell; his baby yorkie “Rocko”; daughters, Ginger (Brennan) Hurley and Krista (Herman) Sizemore, and Jamie Ford; brothers, Ray (Barbara) Howell, Harold Howell, and Robert (Doris) Howell; sisters, Janet Shupe, Karen (Phillip) Davis, Juanita (Randy) Dickens; mother in law, Ann (Jimmy) Sluder; and grandchildren, Emily Hurley, Erika Poe, Tori Sizemore, Dawson Sizemore, Ethan Tiller, Ryan Tomaschek, Tommy Tomaschek, Austin Tomaschek, Sarah Lambert and Alicia Thomasheck; and great grandchildren, Sophie, Kayden Maci & Myrcella.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Omar Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
