William Eugene Butt

William Eugene Butt, 85, of Ebenezer Road, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at his home.

Born on January 15, 1935 in Nemours, he was a son of the late Clarence and Hester Barrett Butt. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 55 years and was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was retired from Joy Manufacturing in Bluefield, VA and was a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Butt; and a sister, Ann Snider.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Terry) Sarver of Bluefield, VA; grandson, Zachary (Jennifer) Saver of Tazewell, VA; great grandson, Caden Sarver of Tazewell, VA, and two sisters, Elizabeth “Sis” Streitenberger of Lancaster, OH and Bonnie Thimmes of Lancaster, OH.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the mausoleum at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with Rev. Steve Aker officiating. Burial will follow.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, WV.
