Willard Edward Mitchem

Willard Edward Mitchem, 78, of Kimball, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his home.

Born on April 11, 1940 in Eckman, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Fern Tedder Mitchem. He had been a resident of Kimball for 58 years and was a member of the Old Fashion Full Gospel Church. He loved hunting, gardening and people. He loved talking to everyone and loved going to church and having fellowship dinners on the grounds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death 2 sons, Roger Dale Mitchem, Willard Edward Mitchem, Jr., a daughter, Diana Lynn Denton; and 6 brothers, Robert, James, Roger Lee, Clyde, Jerry and William.

Survivors include:

Wife of 58 years, Patricia Louise Booker Mitchem of home where together they had a very happy home.

2 daughters: Drema Marie Mitchem of Kimball
Lisa Jean Hughes of Kimball

Son: Kenneth Jay (Sue) Mitchem of Cameron

10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly

Brother: Kenneth Gene Mitchem of Bramwell

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Harold Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at the Rockhouse Cemetery in Kimball where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 at the funeral home.
