Wendy Burks

Wendy Emazetta Burks, 53 of Kimball, WV 24853 went to be with the Lord on May 10th, 2022 after a long battle with cancer at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born October 22, 1968 in Welch, WV to the late Helen M.(Rhodes) Barber, Odham, and the late Dan Odham. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, daughter Erica Dawn Burks, Father and Mother-in-law Edward M Burks & Juanita Burks, Sister-in-law Tersea Church Peake, and brother Michale Vincent (Drag) Barber

Also special niece Tina M. Marushia, and one special nephew SFC Michael Joe (Joey) Marushia.

She was the most loving wife, mother, and sister. She lived her life for her family. Always going the extra mile for anyone who needed it without asking for anything in return. A truly one of a kind person who loved with her whole heart. She was of Christan faith and continually studied the Bible. She was always glowing with life and loved to see her family be happy.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 35 years, Charles Burks and son Chase Burks of the home. Five sisters, Charlotte Marushia of Twin Branch, WV, Jenny (Barber) Tyler of Princeton, WV, Vivian Coffey and husband Harold of Charlottesville, VA, Mary Sue Barber White and fiancée Johnny England, Jr. of Kimball, WV, And Jennifer Lane whom she proudly called her sister, and husband Brad of Welch, WV

Numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and several cousins and friends. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service to honor her memory will be decided on later.
