Watson Whitley Miller

Watson “Watt” Whitley Miller, 83, of Skygusty, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his home.

Born on December 3, 1936 in Skygusty, WV, he was a son of the late Garnie and Barbara Casey Miller. He had been a lifelong resident of Skygusty and was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the UMWA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Perry; grandson, Matthew Miller; sisters, Verti Mae Miller and Joycie Bell Sargent; and brothers, Joe Miller and Tommy Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Marie Mitchum Miller of the home; sons, Roy Watson Miller of Skygusty and Ricky Casey of Tazewell, VA, ; daughters, Peggy Miller of Ramseur, NC, Jackie Walker of Dallas, TX, and Phyllis Blevins of Princeton; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and sisters, Marlene Farris, Myrtle Bailey, Vel Oliver, Irene Blevins, Margaret Brown, Patsy Sexton, Bonnie Howington and Valerie Dooley.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ in Skygusty with Rev. James Perry and Rev. Paul Perry officiating. Burial will follow at the Miller Family Cemetery in Auger Hollow in Skygusty with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00-2:00 PM at the church.
