Wanda Scott Hornick

Wanda Scott Hornick, 78, of Welch, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Loving Hands Adult Care in Bluefield.

Born on September 23, 1943, in Welch, she was a daughter of the late John Walter and Ellen Slone Scott. She had been a resident of McDowell County for most of her life and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Bluefield, WV and attended the Elkhorn-Northfork Church of God with family in her later years. She spent her life serving God and taking care of others. She was a retired caregiver. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Hornick; a son, John Daughtery; 5 brothers and 1 sister.

A memorial service for all family and friends to attend will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 1:00 at Elkhorn-Northfork Church of God. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s foundation.
