Walter J. Price

Walter J. Price, 85, of Bluefield, West Virginia went to be with his heavenly father on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Walter was born on November 08, 1933 in Pounding Mill, Virginia to the late Elbert Price and Pearly Price. He was a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a truck driver for Overnight transportation. Walter served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of Calvary Tabernacle in Glenwood. Walter was the last surviving of his six brothers and sisters.   

In addition to his parents and siblings he was also preceded in death by his wife Ruby Price and a son, Larry Price.

Survivors include six daughters and five sons; Ruth, Jack and wife Linda, Brenda, Linda, Anthony, Jr., Kenny, Alice and Paul Rowan, Amy, Lynda and Christian Russo and James Ramsey. Great Grandchildren Brayden Ramsey and Kamdyn Russo. 

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia at 10:00am with Rev. David Barnette officiating the service. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia where friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. Military graveside rites will be performed by the Mercer County Honor Guard.

The Price family will be receiving friends and relatives on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
