Virginia Carol Poindexter

Virginia Carol Poindexter, 66, of Princeton, West Virginia passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Carol was born on January 26, 1953 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Albert Andrew O’Donnell and Mildred Gillenwater O’Donnell. Carol was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Edgemont Baptist Church in Bluefield, West Virginia. She had been a resident of Princeton, West Virginia for the past 25 years.

In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by her Husband James Poindexter; son Pete Poindexter and one brother Barry O’ Donnell.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Pam Bales and husband James of Bluefield, West Virginia; Stepson James Poindexter II of Rocky Mount, Virginia; Grandchildren Jared, Jacob and Josh Poindexter; Niece Stephanie Bales of Bluefield, West Virginia and two Nephews Shawn Bales of Bluefield, West Virginia and Andy Bales and wife Samantha of Bluefield, West Virginia.

Funeral service for Carol will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 7:00pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Dr. Dan Jividen officiating the service. 

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Private interment will be held for Carol at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, West Virginia.
