Vincile O’Dale Perkins, 90, of Montcalm, WV, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 3, 1930 in Montcalm, he was the son of the late Luther Hasque and Cleora Elsie Dunford Perkins. Vincile was a general laborer as a construction worker and was a member of the Montcalm Church of God. He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David Perkins, Edward Perkins, Darrel Perkins, and Hershel Perkins; and sister, Beatrice Perkins Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Jeanette Lintner Perkins of Montcalm; son, Brian Perkins of Lindside, WV; daughter, Sharon Blackwell and husband, James of Montcalm, WV; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Perkins of Montcalm, WV; brother, Paul Perkins of Montcalm, WV; sisters, Evolene Blevins of Cleveland, OH, Norma Shrader of Montcalm, WV, and Judy Hodge of Montcalm, WV; and two grandchildren, Ben (Tiffany) Blackwell and Michael (Faith) Blackwell.
Funeral service will be conducted 10:45 AM Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Omar Burns, Rev. David Kirby, and Rev. Ryan Lawrence officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
