Veronica Lea Helmandollar

Veronica Lea Helmandollar, 56, went to her heavenly home on February 21, 2023 at her home in Lerona, WV surrounded by her family and loved ones. 

Veronica, born on June 21, 1966 to Linda and Leroy in Welch, WV, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Veronica went to Iaeger High School where she was a majorette and graduated with honors in 1984. 

Veronica's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. Veronica was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her hubby. She was a wonderful cook and an amazing grandmother. Not a day went by where Veronica didn't talk about how much her son, grandchildren and family meant to her-- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Veronica is survived by her loving Husband of 39 years, Dewayne "Beardog" Helmandollar, her parents, Leroy and Linda Roberts of Iaeger, WV, her son and wife, Brenton and Samantha Helmandollar of Lerona, WV, her beautiful granddaughters, Brynlee and Addilyn Helmandollar, her brother, Kevin Roberts of Iaeger, WV, her special niece and husband, Dakota and Dennis Lester of Knoxville, TN, and great nieces, Aubree, Camryn, and Jordyn Lester, her special friends Shona and Stephen Dobbs, her many close cousins, and her countless biker friends.   She was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Marlene Lockhart, Oscar Roberts and Lola Blankenship, her mother-in-law, Phyllis Helmandollar and father-in-law, Roy Helmandollar, and very special aunt, Wave Poe.

Services will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV) on February 24th, 2023. Close family viewing will be at 10:30 with all other visitors at 11:00. The service will begin at 12:00 with Rev. Stephen Dobbs and Rev. Chris Riffe officiating.
