Vernica Sue "Neecee" Jenkins, age 69, of Worth, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday at Roanoke Memorial Hospital with a short illness. Born July 9, 1954 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Phyllis Cuckler. She was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Randall W. "Randy" Jenkins, and brother Franklin Cuckler of Greensboro, NC. She is survived by her 3 loving sisters, Estrella Cole and husband Joe Cole and their sons, Kenneth Cole and Gary Cole of Bastain, VA, Madge Penny and daughter Amber Hartman of Lubbock, Texas, and Dana Clower husband Frankie Clower and their sons, Kevin Clower, Brian Clower and daughters Cristal Milam, Samantha Clower, Lizzie Clower, Stacy Harman, Nicole Clower and Nikki Clower of Montcalm, WVa. In total she had 21 great nieces and nephews. She was a CNA in Gary, WV most of her life and was a caregiver to many in her community. James Rose and Matthew Wakins she had thought of like her sons. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastor N.R. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where James Rose, Matthew Wakins, Kevin Clower, Brian Clower, Aaron Milam and Zach Harman will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Jenkins family.
