Vera Sylvia Roberts

Vera Sylvia Roberts of Bluefield, W.Va., passed away on August 22, 2020, at home. She was 83 years old.

Vera was born at Eckman, W.Va., and was the daughter of Gordon Tyree Roberts and Mary Estelle French Roberts. She retired from General Telephone Company (Verizon). She was a member of Fincastle Presbyterian Church; Bluefield, Va.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister Zela Roberts Whitt of Bluefield, W. Va., and nephew William "Bill" Whitt and his wife Jessica Bradshaw Whitt of Port St. Lucie, Fla.

As she wished, she has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 6,

2020, at 3:00 PM at Fincastle Presbyterian Church, Bluefield. Va., with her Pastor, Rev. Jerry Manning and Rev. Bill Whitt conducting the service.

In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Fincastle Presbyterian Church or Mercer County Animal Shelter.
