Vennie Mae Green

Vennie Mae Green, 87, of Elkhorn, and formerly of Matoaka went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 5, 1930 to the late McKinley and Dathil Mullins. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to church where she attended the Old Fashion Full Gospel Church in Northfork. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Green; and children, Dee Dee, Loretta, and Roger. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Harold Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
