Vennie Mae Green, 87, of Elkhorn, and formerly of Matoaka went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 5, 1930 to the late McKinley and Dathil Mullins. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to church where she attended the Old Fashion Full Gospel Church in Northfork. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Green; and children, Dee Dee, Loretta, and Roger. Survivors include her: Sons: Ronald Green and wife Shawn of Freeman Donald Green of Lafayette, LA Randy Green and wife Joan of Elkhorn David Green of Spanishburg Stacey Green and wife Tina of Spanishburg Louie Green and wife Sandra of Nemours Brian Green and companion Terry of Matoaka Daughters: Patty Kilhmire of Critz, VA Phyllis Myers and husband Chuck of Statesville, NC Joanne Riggs and husband Gilbert of Webster, FL Janice Mills of Eckman Dolores Goad and husband Leon of VA Junetta Mitchem and husband Johnny of Maybeury Brother: Louie Mullins and wife perky of Kegley Sisters: Alice McPeak of NC Linda Shotto of TN Maryland Mullins of TN And a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren to cherish her memory. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Harold Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
