Tracy Lane, 91, of Rock, WV, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born March 4, 1930 in Wyoming County, WV, he was a son of the late Harrison and Rebecca Lane. Tracy was a member of the Montcalm Church of God. He was a member of UMWA and was a retired coal miner with 38 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sadie Lambert Lane; second wife, Dorothy Day Lane; brothers, Floyd Lane, Jessie Lane, Lacy Lane, and Estel Lane; sisters, Mary Lambert, Della Church, Dorothy Church, and infant Icie Victoria Lane; one daughter, Rosemary Hickerson, and one step-son, Tommy Brown.
Those left to cherish Tracy’s memory are his son, Leonard Lane (Leona) of Princeton, WV; daughters, Joyce Curry (Robert), and Rev. Martha “Cookie” Dalton, both of Princeton, WV; step-daughter, Brenda Anderson (Rick) of Mt. Airy, NC; step-sons, Herman Sizemore (Krista) of Rock, WV, Darrell Brown, Stewart Brown (Lois), both of Bluefield, VA, Johnny Brown (Patricia) of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, and Junior Brown II (Joyce) Princeton, WV; brothers, Carl Lane of Welch-Pineville Rd, Cecil Lane of Oceana, WV, and Powell Lane of Kimball, WV; sister, Mandy Hall of Pocahontas, VA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Riggins officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Mausoleum where Benson Williams, Jeffery Hale, Stewart Brown, Herman Sizemore, Dawson Sizemore, and Robert Curry will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
