Timothy Ray McVey

November 2, 1959 — February 6, 2021

Timothy Ray McVey, 61, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA.  Born November 2, 1959 at Ft. Meade, MD, he was a son of the late Kenneth McVey and Janet Farrington McVey.  Tim was a graduate of Bluefield High School Class of 1978 and was a truck driver for WEL Transportation.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.

 

In addition to his father, Tim was preceded in death by his partner, Jennifer Grose.

 

Those left to cherish Tim’s memory are his mother, Janet Farrington McVey of Bluefield, WV; brother, Jerry McVey and wife, Martha of Falls Mills, VA; 2 nieces, Christian and Katie; Uncle and Aunt, Darrell and Louise McVey of Brushfork, WV; several cousins also survive.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Mathena and Rev. Ron Tabor officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
