Thurman "Gene" Perdue

Thurman “Gene” Perdue, 51, of Tazewell Avenue, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born on January 18, 1967 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of Sylvia McGuire Perdue and the late Thurman W. Perdue. He had been a lifelong resident of the two Bluefield’s and was a formerly employeed by the City of Bluefield WV with 18 years of service. He was a member of the True Vine Fellowship in Bluewell.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christina Willard; and a nephew, Jeffery Wickham.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Danny Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
