Thomas “Brent” Poff, 47, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at his home after a battle with cancer.
Born on October 14, 1972 in Bluefield, he was a son of Zelda and Timothy Meadows of Bluefield, WV, and Thomas (Eddie) Poff, III and companion Jeannie Pennington of Cool Ridge, WV. He was a graduate of Walter Paige High School in Greensboro, NC and was a veteran of the US Navy. He enjoyed fishing, flying model airplanes and was an employee of Lamb Machinery, Inc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Bessie Hamby; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Evelyn Poff, Jr.
Survivors in addition his parents, include Fiance, Trish Thomas of Bluefield; his brother, Brian Poff and fiancé Courtney Raughley and niece Lexi Poff of NC of NC; his step brother, Ronald Keith “Jake” Meadows; nephews, Jacob, Dustin and Levi; step-sister, Kathy (Kenny) Rameriz and niece Mia Rameriz and nephew, Joaquin Rameriz of CO; step daughter, Selina Shrader of Spanishburg, WV and step granddaughter, Danielle Shrader of Spanishburg, WV; and 2 dogs, Ace and Ruby; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
At Brent’s wishes, he will be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.
