Thomas Leonard Miller

Thomas Leonard Miller Jr., 79, of French Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away, Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at his home. Born on December 2, 1943, in Bluefield, WV, to the late Thomas Miller Sr. and Pearl Helmandollar Miller. Thomas was a life-long resident of Bluefield and proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked as the Administrative Director of Food Service for 42 years at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. He was of the catholic faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Buzzo Miller, sisters, Patricia Hubbard, Shirlee Fisher, and Joyce Davis, and brother, Doug Miller. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Asbury Miller of the home; son, Todd Miller and wife Kelly of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Denise Miller Hatcher and husband Randy, of NJ; step-son, Toby Lucas of Athens, WV; sisters, Marline Owens of FL and Dreama King of Bluewell, WV; grandchildren, John O’Quinn and Arden Miller; step-grandchildren, Gracie Lucas Cecil and Olivia Lucas; several great-grandchildren, as well as nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV, where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM until the time of service.
