Theodore Nelson Belcher

Theodore Nelson Belcher, 81, of Northfork, West Virginia passed away on March 15, 2022 at McDowell Nursing and Rehab.

Born May 27, 1940 in Burke Mountain, West Virginia he was a son of the late Harold Joseph and Lovelia Stanley Belcher. He was a lifelong resident of McDowell County and a former coal miner for Eastern Coal.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Joe, Roger, Douglas, David, and Ernest; and sisters, Margaret, Joyce, Carol and Betty.

Those left to cherish Theodore’s memories are brother, Phillip (Christina) Belcher of Montpieler, VA; daughters, Cindy Lugo (Josh) of Dallas, TX, Sandy Massie, Teresa Tyor of DE, and Louella of WV; sons, Mark Bell of Denver, CO, and Lyle of WV; 7 grandchildren; and ex-wife, Patricia Rose of DE.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Belcher Cemetery in Burke Mountain where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday prior to services, from 12:00-1:00 PM, at the funeral home.
