Tessie Ann Johnson

Tessie Ann Johnson, 89, of Princeton, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at her home.  Born April 24, 1931 in Beartown, WV, Tessie was a daughter of the late Cager David and Thrissie Robertson  Blankenship.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Princeton Free Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, Tessie was preceded in death by her husband, William Leon Johnson and a son, Jerry Johnson; a sister, Dell Fizer.; and brother, Ray Blankenship; and a granddaughter, April Johnson Begavich.

Those left to cherish Tessie’s memory are her son, Larry Johnson and wife, Glenna of Glenwood, WV; daughter, Lisa Cline and husband, Parker of Princeton, WV; brother, Bill Blankenship and wife, Lou Ann of Lexington, NC; two sisters, Betty Angle and husband, Jimmy of Princeton, WV, and Rose Mary Shrewsberry of Lancaster, SC; daughter-in-law, Brenda Johnson Harshbarger; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Clay and Rev. Carl Sellards officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
