Teddy Ray Rose, 77, of Princeton, West Virginia (Glenwood) entered into heaven on Monday, March 19, 2018 in Charleston, WV.
Teddy was born on March 29, 1940 in Davy, West Virginia to the late Jeston Corbett and Viola Bell Walker Rose. On March 18, 1963 he married the love of his life Ruby Carol Blankenship in Lebanon, Virginia. Teddy graduated from Baileysville High School in 1959, he went to work for WVDOH, Georgia Pacific for a brief period and then went to work as an underground coal miner. He was a member of the UMWA.
In addition to this parents Teddy was preceded in death by his siblings Norman Rose, Iris Green, Janice Wingler, Eunice Thomas and Hazel Lambert as well as one grandson Tanner Cline.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years Ruby Carol Rose of the home and his six children Donna Jackson and husband Lennis of Ieager, West Virginia; Sherry McGraw and husband Jeff of Princeton, West Virginia; Keith Rose and wife Missy of Bluefield, West Virginia; Brad Rose and wife Angela of Princeton, West Virginia; Shawn Rose of Princeton, West Virginia and Tara Mullins and husband Chris of Bluefield, West Virginia. Teddy is survived by twelve grandchildren Kim Sutton and husband Chris; Jeffery McGraw, Cody Jackson and wife Kelsey; Seth Rose; Kelsey McGraw; Alyssa Mullins; Hunter Cline, Olivia Mullins, Zach Rose, Nick Mullins, Natalie Rose and Paislee Mullins. Three great grandchildren Lexi and Chelsey Sutton and baby Logan Brewer Jackson to arrive in July; one brother Calvin Rose of Concord, North Carolina; Two sisters Garnet Gullett of Welch, West Virginia and Wilma Pack of Woodbridge, Virginia. Teddy will be loved and missed greatly by his family and friends.
Funeral service will be held for Teddy on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at his home church Deliverance Temple in Brushfork, West Virginia with Rev. Bradley Rose and Rev. David Kirby officiating the service. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton, West Virginia where Shawn Rose, Jeffery McGraw, Cody Jackson, Seth Rose, Hunter Cline, Zach Rose, Nick Mullins, Billy Gullett and Ross Gullett will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Thomas, Elmer Mullins, Dallas Powell and Shane Foster.
The Rose family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at his home church Deliverance Temple in Brushfork, West Virginia.
