Ted Randolph French, Sr., 80, of Welch, formerly of Eckman, passed away Friday evening, March 15, 2019 at his home under Hospice care with his loving family by his side.
Born October 4, 1938 at Eckman, he was a son of the late Charles A. French and the late Cora Belle Sheffey French, both of Eckman.
Ted R. French, Sr. was a master sergeant in the US Marine Corp for 22.5 years, retired. He enjoyed hunting with family and friends, cars, car racing, flea marketing, horse racing, and his animals. He also loved to hike in the woods daily until his health permitted otherwise. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends since he liked to express tales of his adventures in life. The true love of Ted’s life was his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Great grandchildren: Bryson Ray Hatmaker, Braylee Nevaeh Hatmaker, Preston Sigmon, Peyton Sigmon, and Paige Sigmon, all of Randelman, NC
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at the Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church, 204 Baptist Drive (Belcher Mtn.), Welch, WV 24801 with Rev. Roger Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Belcher Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted the US Marines Honor Guard.
