Tammy Leigh Poore

Tammy Leigh Poore (Blevins), born February 25, 1960 in Delaware passed on peacefully after a strong and courageous battle with cancer on March 18, 2024. She was lovingly surrounded by her family when she left her earthly body to enter The Kingdom of Heaven. Tammy was always full of laughter and love, spreading cheer to anyone around her. She loved the outdoors, her flower garden, and fishing. She took much pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an employee of LabCorp for 20+ years and was dedicated to her work. Tammy loved the Little Generals football team, working many concession stands to cheer them on and show her support. 

Tammy was preceded in death by Ricky Poore Sr. (husband), Mark Blevins (brother), Wayne Blevins (father), and her paternal & maternal grandparents.

Left to cherish her memory, her mother, Patricia Blevins, her three daughters and only son. Beth Carver (P.j. Peavy) of Montcalm, Hope Carver (Kenny Pigg) of Montcalm, Megan Bradley (Jay Bradley) of Burlington, NC, and Matthew Carver (Mandy Carver) of Montcalm. Also left to cherish her memory, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

Our family wants to send a very special thank you to Missy Havens, the whole Little Generals family, and the Wells family.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 22, 2023 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor A.W. Carver officiating.

Friends may call prior, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
