Sylvia Virginia Jones

Sylvia Virginia Jones, 93, of Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, October 03, 2019 at her residence.

Sylvia was born on April 20, 1926 in Coaldale, West Virginia to the late Rassie and Florence Walker Davidson. She had been a resident of Bluefield, West Virginia for most of her life. Sylvia was a member of Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Jones and one son Barry Hagy; three brothers Roy Davidson, Andrew Davidson, Roby Davidson; four sisters, Icie Miller, Della Farmer, Lilly Fitzko and Barbara Waddell.  

Sylvia is survived by four children, Virgil Hagy of Bluefield, West Virginia, David Hagy of Saltville, Virginia, Brenda Miller of Bluefield, West Virginia and Deborah Kaufman and husband James of Pickens, South Carolina. Four sisters, Agnes Williams of Bluewell, West Virginia, Dorcas Wright of Sandlick, West Virginia, Judy Riffe and husband Cleve of Princeton, West Virginia and Joan Davidson of South Carolina. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:30pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. David Kirby officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, West Virginia where Mike Miller, Daryl Miller, Cory Himes, Andrew Himes, Tony Buzzo and Aaron Jarvis.

The Jones family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at the funeral home.
