Susie Jane Cox

Susie Jane Cox, 76, of Northfork, WV passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born May 14, 1947 in Lamar, WV, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Ruby Sargent Pendergrass. Susie was a member of Eckman Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cox; and two brothers, Dewey Pendergrass and Virgil Sargent.

Those left to cherish Susie’s memory are her sons, Ricky Cox and wife, Norma of Rock, WV, and Leonard Cox of Keystone, WV; daughters, Shella Brown and husband, Clyde of Anawalt, WV, Connie Oliver and husband Mackie of Bluefield, WV, and Andrea Littlejohn of Anawalt, WV; brother, Denver Pendergrass of Glenwood, WV; sisters, Barbara McMillan and husband, Randall of Rock, WV, and Drema Walker of VA; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 PM Friday, November 10, 2023 at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Debbie Cyphers officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Cox family.
