Evangelist Sue G. Baber-Bohin-Gray-Smith, 90, of Bluefield, WV passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. Sue was born on December 06, 1926 in Banner, VA to the late Silas Baber and Eliza Compton Baber. She was an Evangelist for many years and the Pastor of Good News Chapel for three years. She was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church of God in Princeton, WV. Sue was the former owner of Citizens Drug in Welch, WV with her second husband Dr. Harold Gray. They also formed the McDowell County Volunteer Rescue Squad. Sue also sat on the Board of Directors of the McDowell County Ambulance Authority. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband Nick Bohin Sr., her second husband Dr. Harold Gray, as well as her third husband Rev. Bill Smith. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy Hodges and Nettie Caudill; and three brothers David Baber, Silas Baber and Adalphup Baber. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Nickolas Bohin, Jr. and wife Bessie Kay of Coker, AL; Danny Bohin and partner Clarence Ball of Bluefield, WV. Her sister and loving caregiver for years, Virginia Bernice Hayes and husband Bill of Bluefield, WV; sisters Dafney Peters and husband Charlie of Bluefield, WV; Clara Brummett and husband Raymond of Unicoi, TN; grandchildren, Lorna Bohin of New Orleans, LA; Stephanie Camron and husband Johnny of Coker, AL, Suzanna Gibson and husband Michael of Coker, AL; Nicholas Bohin, III and wife Rachel of Coker, AL and Porter Bohin of Coker, AL. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving is her very special nephew, Douglas Cristea of Bluefield, WV, and special caregivers, Brenda Williby and Linda Torris. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. David Barnette and Rev. Cecil Hardin officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30AM.
