Stanford Nathan Rice

Stanford Nathan Rice, 73, of Bluefield, Wva sadly passed away on December 10, 2023. He was a beautiful person who spread kindness wherever he went. 

Stanford, affectionately known as Stan, was born June 9, 1950 to Alonzo Rice and Rosa Rice in Rhodell, Wv. After high school, Stan went on to work in the coal mines briefly before eventually retiring from Norfolk & Southern Railroad after 33 years of service. While there he gained a number of life-long friends.

Stan is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia and two children,  LaQuay and Shannon. Two brothers, Richard and William and three grandson’s Brent, Koi and Aidan who all loved their paw-paw dearly. Stan is preceded in death by his brothers Ronald Lee and James, his father Alonzo and mother Rosa. 

As per Stan’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
