Shirley Carver Davis

Shirley Carver Davis, 81, of Dogwood Lane, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born on May 14, 1937 in Bramwell, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Alice Dillon Carver. She was a graduate of Bramwell High School. She was retired from Frontier Communications and the former GTE Telephone Company. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Bluefield, VA and formerly attended the Wesleyan Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Davis, Sr.; 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

Daughter: Regina (Kapes) Workman of Bluefield, VA

Sons: Charles R. (Twila) Davis, Jr. of Bluefield
Douglas E. Davis of Falls Mills, VA

1 granddaughter: Terrwyn Davis

3 grandsons: Adam, Zachary and Cole Davis

1 great granddaughter: Paige Davis

Brother: Elwood Carver of Morgantown, WV

Sister: Judy (Ronald) Eanes of Bruceton Mills, WV

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 2:30 PM at the Cravens-shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Lacy Brooks officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell where Cole, Adam, and Zachary Davis, John Mays, and other friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Monday from 1:30-2:30 PM at the funeral home.
