Sherry Lynn Carter Perdue, 50, of Bluefield, passed away at Bluefield Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 21, 2020. She was born October 2, 1969 in Bluefield WV to the late Stanley Stewart Carter, Sr. & the late Shirley Ann Carter Harless.
Sherry was preceded in death by both of her parents, paternal grandparents Alfred Stewart Carter & Phyliss Maxine Smith, maternal grandparents Jesse Hiram Fletcher & Nancy Bell Boyd, adoptive brother Jason Harlan Blankenship & a special uncle Charles Franklin Carter.
Survivors include her loving husband Richard Perdue of Bluefield, WV, sister Mary Sue Curry (Keith) of Athens, WV, brother Stanley Stewart Carter, Jr (Michelle) of Beckley, WV, brother John Franklin Carter of Austin, TX; nieces Candice (Niccole) Rudolph, Kristin Curry, Arrin Carter Brooks, Amber Perry, nephews Stanley Curry I, David Dreggors, Jordain Carter, Logan Curry, Samuel Curry, Elijah Carter, and multitude of aunts, uncles, great nieces & great nephews.
Born and raised in Bluefield WV, Sherry was a graduate of Princeton Senior High School. Sherry loved the holidays, especially Christmas, cooking, spending time with her family and taking care of others. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. Her family will forever miss her as she filled our hearts with great love and joy.
Services will be at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV at 11 am on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 with Rev. Delmar Stilwell officiating. The family will be accepting visitors from 10 to 11 prior to services. Sherry will be laid to rest at the Blankenship Family Cemetery in North Tazewell, VA.
