Shelia Renee Jones

Shelia Renee Jones, 61, of Surface Hill Road (Sandlick), Bluefield, WV, passed into the arms of her sweet Lord at 9:30 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Lewis Gale Pulaski Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She never stopped fighting.

She was born on December 18, 1958 to the late Dorothy and Roy Faulkner. She attended Sandlick United Methodist Church where she was loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Mousie of Charlottesville, VA, Shelby Farley of Roanoke, VA, Paula (Polly) Patterson of Bramwell and Sharon Punturi of Montcalm; and her second husband, Charles Harris of Pulaski, VA.

She is survived by her husband, John L. “Squirmy” Jones, 69, of the home and he considered himself the luckiest man on the face of the earth for 13 years. She was the mom of two wonderful sons, Rick (Chas) Erickson of Princeton and Steven (Sandra) Erickson of Pulaski, VA, who both adored her. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Levi Erickson, her little big man of Pulaski, VA, Alec Erickson of Kernersville, NC, Cierra Reynolds of Rock Island, IL, Zevan Nixon of Princeton and Justin Nixon of Dublin, VA. She was deeply blessed with five great grandchildren, Kennedy, Emily and Riley Reynolds of Rock Island, IL, Graham Erickson of Pulaski, VA, and Aceley Erickson of Kernersville, NC; sisters, Patricia (Elmer) Miller of Floyd, VA Kathy (Jay) Sabo of Freeman; brothers, Robert (Carol) Faulkner of Floyd, VA, and Danny Faulkner of Bluefield, and Richard (Marlene) Faulkner of Floyd, VA; special nieces, Lisa (Mike) Trautman of Christiansburg, VA and Ann (James) Lee of Oklahoma City, OK, and many nieces, nephews and cousins that that she truly cared for; three sisters in law, Debby (Gary) Bell of Bluewell, Vickie (Rodney) Barnett of Princeton and Sandy (Gilbert) Wimmer of Brushfork; special family and friends, Jerry and Beth Jones of Sandlick, Daren Brummett of Bluefield and Drema of Bluewell, and Candy and Aaron Sayers of Montcalm.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby and Rev. Melody Rickman officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
