Shawn Aaron Smith

Shawn Aaron Smith, 33, of Bluefield WV passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2020.

Shawn had a wild and rambunctious spirit and infectious laughter. He had warm and friendly disposition and a genuine caring heart that could be felt by all who were in his presence. He was very talented, artistic, extremely funny, and intelligent and had a great work ethic. Shawn was able to pick up any skill he tried and was still trying to find his niche. Shawn was employed as a manager at Food City at the time of his passing.

Shawn was very thoughtful, always ready and willing to help anyone in need, and was very protective of his loved ones. His personality was bright, outgoing and sunny. He was joking and laughing almost constantly always leaving one with a smile on their face.

Shawn was preceded in Death by his sister Veronica Smith, Princeton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Gladys Meadows, Princeton WV, his father Mike Akers, NC, his biological mother Teresa Goodman, NC, his grandparents John and Barbara Cox, Princeton, WV, His son Aaron Smith, Bluefield VA, His sisters, Cristal Thompson, Helen, WV, Jessica Brown, Bluefield, WV, Ashli Twitty, Princeton, WV, and Jennifer Wiley, Winston Salem, NC, His brothers Jonathan Mitchell, NC., and Justin Akers, Princeton, WV.  His Aunt Margaret Cox, Princeton WV. His fiancée Abigail Keaton, Bluefield WV

Shawn deeply loved his family, his friends and Jesus and will be missed by all who knew him more than words can convey.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.

Friends may call prior to services, from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
