Sharon Wingate

Sharon Rose Wingate, 62, of Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on May 2, 2018 at her home.

Born on August 30, 1956 in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of Harold Paul Goins, Sr. of Gary, WV, and the late Alice Grace Hughes Goins. She had been a resident of Bluewell for 36 years and was an active member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. Sharon was a Registered Nurse who served roles as an Employee Health Nurse, Risk Manager and Health Educator at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Sharon had Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing and Human Resources and a Master's Degree in Communications. She was also an active member in the American Cancer Society.
In addition to her Mother she was preceded in death by two brothers Steve Allen Goins and Jerry Randall Goins.

Sharon is survived by her husband Marvin Kenneth Wingate of Bluefield, WV; one son Jason Wingate of Raleigh, North Carolina; one brother Harold Paul Goins, Jr., and wife Dora of Thorpe, WV and one sister Sherry Lynn Sanchez of Thornton, CO. Sharon was adored by many nieces and nephews; Tony Goins of Welch, WV, David Little and Jill Goins of Thorpe, WV, Harley and Erisha Rangel of Thornton ,CO, the late Paul Curtis, Jr. of Columbus, OH, the late Christine Wingate of Columus, OH, Adam Wingate of Davy, WV, Spenser Boyd of Davy, WV, Brandon Walker of Springfield, MD, Matt and Freda Atwell of Thorpe, WV, Megan, AJ, TJ, Makia, Christopher and Michael Goins of Thorpe, WV, Steven Goins of Statesville, NC, the late Sheena Goins of Statesville, NC, and Jeremy England of Iager, WV. Sharon is survived by many great nieces and nephews; David and Tanner Little of Thorpe, WV, Makayla, Peyton, Reagan Goins of Princeton, WV, Blake Goins of Hanover,WV, Matthew, Chelsy Atwell of Thorpe, WV, Carli Hamilton of Thorpe, WV, Whitley Keiser of Gary, WV, Alaya Wingate of Princeton, WV, Aza and Aden Wingate of Davy, WV, LJ and Brooke Gebauer of Thornton, CO. Special considerations are due to the members of Bluewell United Methodist Church, her many loving and supporting co-workers from Bluefield Regional Medical Center for their friendship, love and support. Special thanks are also due to the Shupe Family of Bluefield, WV and to her dear friend Ruth (Ruthie) and her husband, Bill Belcher of Bluefield, WV for their enduring friendships.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 07, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Bluewell United Methodist Church with Rev. Melissa White officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where Jason Wingate, Tony Goins, Adam Wingate, Kevin Crane, T.J. Goins, Austin Paul Goins, A.J. Goins and David Little will be serving as pallbearers.

The Wingate family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, May 07, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until 1:00 p.m. at the Bluewell United Methodist Church.
