Sarah Mae Bailey, 84, of Pocahontas, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, West Virginia.Sarah was born on August 03, 1933 in Pocahontas, Virginia to the late William D. and Josie Mae Jeffery Milliner. She had been a resident of Pocahontas since 1969 and was a member of the Coaldale Freewill Baptist Church in Coaldale, West Virginia where she was in the Ladies auxiliary. In addition to her parents Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. ”Bud” Bailey in 2010; she was also preceded in death by two brothers William “ Bill” Milliner, Jr. and Harry “Woody” Milliner. Survivors include her children Sandi Sluss and husband Terry of Pocahontas, Virginia, Karen Yost and husband Steve of Bluefield, West Virginia, Timothy Bailey and wife Doris of Pocahontas, Virginia and Nancy Bailey of Chester, Virginia. Grandchildren Kevin Sluss and wife Trina, Sirena Phipps and husband Roby, Steven Yost, Timothy “T.J.” Bailey, Michael Yost and Samuel Flaugher. Great Grandchildren Alex Sluss, Ashlee Phipps, Austin Sluss, Patrick Phipps and Karlie Yost. Step Grandchildren Tammy Yost and Christy Kinder. Two brothers Edward Milliner and wife Peggy of Pocahontas, Virginia and Dallas Milliner and wife Judy of Eminence, Kentucky. One sister Jane Flick of Pocahontas, Virginia. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 01, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. Tim Lacy and Rev. Roger Lacy officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Sluss Family Cemetery in Pocahontas, Virginia where grandsons and great grandsons Kevin Sluss, Steven Yost, Timothy “T.J” Bailey, Jr., Michael Yost, Samuel Flaugher, Alex Sluss, Austin Sluss and Patrick Phipps will be serving as pallbearers. The Bailey family will be receiving friends and relatives on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
