Samuel Joseph Gattuso

Samuel Joseph Gattuso, 95, of Bluefield, WV passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his home. Born June 18, 1926 in Kimball, WV, he was the son of the late Frank and Virginia Cecilia Minni Gattuso. Samuel was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield, served as a Sargent in the United States Army during World War II, was a retired car salesman for Hall Chevrolet in Welch, WV and loved music. Samuel was a member of the Bluefield Elks Club, the VFW in Bluefield, and the Moose Lodge in both Bluefield and Welch. He had been a resident of Bluefield, WV since 1994 but was formerly of Kimball, WV. In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Belcher Gattuso, and 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Those left to cherish Samuel’s memory are his daughter, Virginia Lee Gattuso of Bluefield, WV; three sons, Ernest Gattuso (Belinda) of Leesburg, FL, Frank Gattuso (Terri) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Philip John Gattuso and companion, Jaime of New Smyrna Beach, FL; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Father Sebastian Devasya officiating. Entombment will follow at the Woodlawn Mausoleum where family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
