Samuel Allen Flaugher

Samuel Allen Flaugher, 19, of Chester, VA, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2019 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA.

Born on December 19, 1999 in Raleigh, NC, he was a son of Tony Flaugher of Loganville, GA and Nancy Bailey of Chester, VA. He had been a resident of Chester, VA for 15 years and was a student at John Tyler Community College. He was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School and was a member of the Christian Life Church in Chester, VA.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Walter (Bud) and Sarah M. Bailey and paternal grandfather, Bill Flaugher.

Survivors include:

Mother: Nancy Bailey of Chester, VA

Father: John Tony Flaugher and Donna of Loganville, GA

Brother: Jacob Wiseman of Loganville, GA

Paternal grandparents: Sam & Edna “Tootie” Carter of North Tazewell, VA

Stepfather: Teddy Lowery of North Tazewell, VA

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Tim Lacy and Rev. Roger Lacy officiating. Burial will follow at the Sluss Family Cemetery in Pocahontas where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Friday from 1:00-2:00PM at the funeral home.
