Sally Alvarez

Sally Henderson Alvarez, 81, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Mercer Nursing and Rehab in Bluefield. Born March 3, 1941 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late William and Max Rivers Henderson. She had worked in Medical Technology at Cabell County Hospital. Sally had received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Marshall University. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pete Alvarez.

Those left to cherish her memory are cousins, Carolyn and Douglas Hayes of Bluefield, WV, and Katie and Ronald Goodwin of Bluefield, WV.

Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. Brent Brown officiating. There will be no public visitation. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Alvarez family.
