Ryland Fairly Mitchem

Ryland Fairly Mitchem, 72, of Bluewell, WV passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born June 29, 1949 in Bluewell, WV, he was the son of the late Everett William Mitchem and Juanita Crowder Mitchem Hoge.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin daughters, Michelle and Melissia Mitchem; and two brothers, Dale Mitchem and Ronald Mitchem.  He loved his family. He had two special hobbies that he enjoyed: drag racing and bowling. Ryland Fairly was a coal miner for Consol and working in the mining industry to include EIMCO Machinery and Fairchild International.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Patrick Mitchem; daughter, Theresa G. Phillips of Bluewell, WV; granddaughter, Jessica P. Phillips; brother, Deannie Mitchem and wife, Loretta of Bluewell, WV; sister-in-law, Bonnie Mitchem of Princeton, WV; many nieces and nephews; special nephew, Rodney L. Mitchem; special friend, Tommy Blevins of Maryland.

In keeping with Rylands wishes, he will be cremated with no services. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Mitchem family.
