Ruth (Mary) Kipfinger

Ruth (Mary) Elizabeth Kipfinger, 78, of Firefly Lane, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on December 24, 1938 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Hattie Combs Hurley. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and attended Mowles Chapel. She was a retired CNA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Kipfinger Pilkins and a son, Danny Kipfinger. Survivors include her husband, Jack Kipfinger of the home; two sons, Roger and Tyler Kipfinger and two daughters, Deborah Kipfinger Gerwig and Carol Kipfinger Lester, all of Bluefield; five brothers, Terry Hurley and Charles Hurley both of Max Meadows, VA; David Hurley, Stanley Hurley and Bobby Hurley all of Montcalm, WV. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 05, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Eddie Mabe officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. The Kipfinger family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday, September 04, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
