ROSEMARIE THERESE GILES, 87 passed away July 22, 2017. She was born on November 23, 1929 in Defiance, IA, to parents, Arnold Mengwasser and Margaret (Luecke) Mengwasser of Jefferson City, Mo., and Rich Fountain, MO. She was married on November 22, 1958 in Chicago, IL to MSGT Richard Eugene Giles (divorced 1972). She leaves her daughter, Debra Leigh (Giles) Bisaha and husband (Anthony Bisaha) of Athens, WV; and three grandsons: Andrew, Joseph and Anthony Robert Bisaha. Two brothers: Joseph P. Mengwasser (Emmaus, PA) and Clarence F. Mengwasser (Madison, WV), and one (twin) sister, Anita M. Hamilton, Jefferson City, MO., and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leonard J. Mengwasser (1988), and one (twin) Elsie M. Mengwasser (1933), and grandparents: Peter Leo Mengwasser (Anna Johanna Radmacher), and great grandparents: Peter Urban Mengwasser (Katherina Tives); together with grandparents: Joseph Luecke (Theresia Knoerr), and great grandparents: Andreas Knoerr (Marguerite Struemph), of Rich Fountain, MO. She was the great-great granddaughter of John Theodore Struemph (Maria Christina Brockerhoff), John was the founder of Struemph’s Settlement (1837), later known as Rich Fountain, MO. Rosemarie lived in Germany with her husband in 1960 where he served in the U.S. Army, and left in 1964 live in Louisville, KY. She retired in 1995 as Executive Legal Secretary for 30 years to Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Co., Louisville, KY; and after another career for 15 years (retiring in 2010) as Personal Secretary to Dr. Charles R. Kaelin, Jr., Tennessee Sports Medicine & Orthopedics, Lebanon, TN and Mt. Juliet, TN. Long known for her very positive outlook on life. Greatest passion lied in her genealogy projects and her ability to converse with anyone. An incredible mother and grandmother who went above and beyond for her family. Rosemarie served many years with Daughters of Isabella (MO), Beta Sigma Phi (MO), and Executive Women International (KY).
