Ronald Wayne Wright

    Bluefield, WV – Ronald “Ronnie” Wayne Wright, 60, of Bluefield, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday December 5, 2019 in Bristol, TN.

    Born March 26, 1959 in Tazewell Co., Virginia and raised in Abbs Valley; he was a son of the late Billy Joe Wright and Deanna Lee Reece Wright. He was a 1979 graduate of Pocahontas High School and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Ronnie was previously employed as a Truck Driver for the city of Bluefield, WV. He was known for his singing voice having ran Ronnie’s Karaoke.

    In addition to his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by; several family members, friends, and a step-daughter; Paula.

     Survivors include; wife Peggy Smith Woody Wright and Zyler Woody of the home, a brother; Dennis Wright of Abbs Valley, a nephew; Donnie Wright of Bluefield, VA, a special Lady “second Mom” Clara Edwards of Bluefield, WV, two step-sons; Robert and wife Marsha Smith of Bluefield, VA, John Woody of Bluefield, WV, six step-grandchildren; Katilyn, Seth, Trey, Chloe, Zyler, Avery, a step-great-grandchild; Karoline; several uncles, aunts, and cousins as well as his father and mother in-law; George and Phyllis Smith of Princeton, WV, brother in-law; George Smith, Jr. and Martha of Bluefield, VA, two sisters in-law; Beverly Wallace of Beckley and Betty Douglas of New Orleans, LA.

    A special; thanks to Kim Matzel, our church family at Immanuel Baptist Church, and coworkers of Peggy’s at Westwood and friends.

    Funeral services for Mr. Wright will be conducted Tuesday December 10, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Dan Jividen officiating. Internment will follow at the Grandview Memory Gardens located in Bluefield, VA where friends and family members will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday December 10, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until time of services.
