Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Hartwell, Jr.

Ronald ‘Ronnie” Lee Hartwell, Jr., 53, of Highland Ave. Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 01, 2018 at the Hilltop Nursing Center in Hilltop, West Virginia. Ronnie was born September 30, 1964 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Ronald Hartwell, Sr. and Mildred Crabtree Hartwell of Bluefield, West Virginia. He was a graduate of Bluefield High School as well as Bluefield State College and a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Church of God in Bluefield, Virginia and had been a resident of Bluefield for the past twenty-five years. Ronnie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Woodrow and Kathleen Hartwell and his maternal grandparents Kyle and Cartha Crabtree. In addition to his parents Ronnie is survived by three sons; Philip Hartwell of Bluefield, Derrik Hartwell of Bluefield and Ronnie Hartwell of North Carolina; Two daughters Ashley Hartwell and Summer of North Carolina. One brother Brian Hartwell of Bluefield and one Sister Colette Dietrich and family of Bluefield. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren. Memorial service will held on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia with Rev. Tony Ellis officiating the service. The Hartwell family will receive friends and relatives from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at the funeral home.
