Rev. Ronald William Phillips, 83, of Bluefield, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born on January 27, 1938 at Herndon, WV, he was a son of the late Garland T. and Wanda Halsey Phillips. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 30 years and spent 20 years in the US Air Force. He was also a retired minister, where he served at Bluewell Baptist Church (Rt 20) for 28 years. He served many years in the Mountain State Baptist Association and served on committees
Survivors include his wife of 57 years Margaret Corthine Phillips, of the home; 2 sisters, Marilyn Jean McKinney of Savannah, GA and Belinda Kay Mullins of Mullens, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the mausoleum at the service time.
